Do you need to move to the greater Seattle area and schedule a visit to find a home in a few days? Each person has unique timeframes and needs, but I have created a sample process for you to understand what to expect.
General Relocation Process:
- Before your visit: To begin, we select a tour of 8-15 homes that meet your initial criteria.
- Day One: I pick you up at the airport or hotel and we spend the day touring the homes we previously selected. After the tour, we sit down and review your criteria, discussing each of the greater Seattle area neighborhoods in detail, and changing your initial criteria to fit your needs.
- Day Two: We see another 8-15 homes with the new criteria and circle in on our desired area and home style. By this point, we can decide what homes we missed and plan them to tour on day three, and also choose our favorites to revisit.
- Day Three: We spend the day wrapping up our tour, selecting the perfect home and move forward with writing an offer.
- Inspection: Your inspection can be set for a day you plan to return, or I am happy to attend this for you and have the inspector fill you in with a summary of findings.
- Final Walk Through: I attend the final walk through for you, making sure the home is ready for move in.
- Signing Closing Documents: I can coordinate for you to sign out of state so when you move here, you move directly into your home. Moving can be quite exhausting, and many like the satisfaction of moving directly "home" when relocating.
- Timeframe: Expect about 30 days for closing from the day we have "mutual acceptance" or mutually agreed upon deal. If you are paying cash, it can be as soon as 8 days, or if your lender can rush, we can close as soon as 20 days.

- 3-6 months: I'm still looking. I would like to know when good deals are listed immediately in my desired area. Or, I would like weekly or monthly updates regarding new listings.
- 6 mo - 1 yr: I'm not moving for some time, but would love to get an idea of what each area is like and what to expect for homes in each area. Please send me weekly or monthly updates with this information.
